About Sarah
The Short Version
Sarah is an author, speaker, and American Sign Language teacher at a public high school, striving to shine the light of Christ in the darkness. Her writing has been featured in The Penasee Globe, ChristianDevotions.us, Focus on the Family Magazine, Unlocked: Devotions for Teens, Staying Power: Building a Stronger Marriage When Life Sends Its Worst, as well as in her memoir, Life After Infertility: A Story of Hope for Those Who Wait. She and her husband, Mark, endured over a decade of infertility before building their family through domestic adoption and gestational surrogacy.
Sarah is an encourager who inspires biblical hope in those facing life's toughest trials. Her most recent projects spur Christians to embrace courageous faith in the midst of a post-truth culture.
On any given day, you'll find Sarah walking her three rescue mutts, treasure hunting at local thrift shops, or plumbing the profound insights found in Dove dark chocolate wrappers. Thanks to her brilliant middle daughter, she has also recently become a Bama fan (Roll Tide!). Sarah lives near Grand Rapids, Michigan with her husband and their nearly-ready-to-launch son.
